Art & Architecture Magazine

Art & Architecture magazine covers are an amazing design source. Published during the 1940 -1960's, it was an avant garde publication, sponsoring leading edge ideas in design, art, architecture and music. In the 40's and 50's, the covers were touched by Dada, in the 60's, Frank Gehry was first published. They photographed new design that was of exceptional merit and interest. Timeless.

  2. Definitely a plethora of gifts that keep on giving long after the magazines end in the late 60's. Another massive contribution to the world of architecture through the sponsorship of Arts & Architecture...the Case Study Houses. Talk about wildly mind blowing inspiration (for a lifetime)! And one in La Jolla no less...just a simple drive away. And if you have not toured the Eames House (#8) & are interested in architecture, art & design (and love, really)...so worth a 2 hour drive to Pacific Palisades.
