Melissa Nelson

I was born & raised on the island of O’ahu with my mother, an artist & father, an architect. Both influences has shaped my world, & really, is how I ended up as an interior designer. My other passions + past professions + loves include (& not in order of importance)…art, architecture, photography, dance, the ocean (preferably Hawaiian waters), creating things for my daughter & son, crafts, DIY, wrapping gifts, collaborating with my husband (artistic & beyond), clean/local food, farmer’s markets, pool swims, travel, organizing, learning, teaching art to kids, making cards, blissed out family time, jewelry design, music (oh so good when live), writing & poetry, tea, movies, growing things (including myself), yoga, stay-at-home mama, riding bikes with my man with bare feet, tree hugger, armpit shaver, high heels one day…the next day flip flops (aka: Hawaiian “slippers”), ocean salt & plumarias in my hair, looking into the eyes of my daughter & son and knowing why my breath is now deeper & richer.
